MUSIC BC ANNOUNCES TOP 15 ARC 2024 PARTICIPANTS

ARC, funded by Creative BC and the Province of British Columbia, Stingray, and FACTOR (the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings) and the Government of Canada, is designed to equip emerging artists with the necessary tools to thrive in the music industry. The program offers a comprehensive accelerator experience where artists receive one-on-one mentorship from industry professionals, including managers, creative content directors, and music producers.

As a proud advocate of British Columbia’s music industry, Music BC developed the ARC program to enhance the business, creative, and technical skills of recording artists in the province, empowering them to build sustainable careers in the music industry, both locally and globally.

Consisting of three core components which include The Clinic, The Retreat and The Show, ARC has proven for two years over to be a well-rounded artist development program, each component built with intention upon the last. The Clinic is a 2-day training intensive where participants will attend business-focused workshops on revenue streams, legal agreements, business management, branding, social media, marketing and release strategies – followed by assignments for continued learning and progress check-ins with ARC mentors. The Retreat is a week-long intensive in Princeton, B.C., consisting of one-on-one and group mentorship sessions with world-class industry leaders, with a focus on all the creative components that go into growing and sustaining an audience and brand, including co-writing, recording, content creation, vocal and live performance training, complemented with daily mental health workshops. And finally, The Show is an opportunity for all 15 participants to perform in front of a live audience of fans, and local and international industry members.
